Product Description
Jacqueline Lee Bouvier Kennedy Onassis was the First Lady of the 35th President of the United States, John F. Kennedy, and she was one of the most beloved First Ladies in American history. After President Kennedy was assassinated in 1963, she entered a long period of mourning and years later married Greek shipping tycoon Aristotle Onassis from 1968 until his death in 1975. Desirous of some creative work, she accepted a job offer as an editor at Viking Press and then in 1978 moved to Doubleday as an associate editor. In 1994, she was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, a form of cancer, and a large crowd of well-wishers, tourists, and reporters gathered on the street outside her penthouse apartment. She died in her sleep on Thursday, May 19, 1994 at the age of 64 and was buried next to President John F. Kennedy in Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia. The beautiful Jackie Kennedy bobblehead makes a great memorial gift and because they are no longer being manufactured, they are valuable collector’s items. They were made out of lightweight polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plastic, a thermoplastic polymer that is commonly used to make figurines because it can be molded into any shape and it is compatible with a wide variety of different paint finishes. Your Jackie Kennedy bobblehead gift will be packaged in a colorful cardboard collector's box with a cellophane display window.
