Albert Einstein: Arguably the most famous scientist of all time, Albert Einstein gained worldwide attention and popularity with his numerous findings in the field of physics; most notably his theory of relativity for which he received a Nobel prize. In the hearts and minds of the general public, Einstein is the smartest man to ever walk the Earth (and arguably so). His name has become synonymous with "genius" and his legacy endures through all forms of media in popular culture including television, movies, books, the internet, and good old fashioned word of mouth. So the next time someone calls you an Einstein, know that you are in good company.

President Lincoln's Cottage
: Designated a National Monument by President Clinton in 2000, President Lincoln's Cottage served as Lincoln's family residence for a  quarter of his presidency and is the most significant historic site directly associated with Lincoln's presidency aside from the White House. President Lincoln's Cottage is located on the grounds of the Armed Forces Retirement Home in northwest Washington, D.C. and has been restored by the National Trust for Historic Preservation, a private, non-profict organization.

Old South Meeting House: From the meetings that started the Boston Tea Party to the present, the Old South Meeting House has been host to many important gatherings of individuals looking to preserve their freedom and express free speech. An important National Historic Landmark, the Meeting House still holds open debates to this day and welcomes those who wish to express their opinion. (guests are, however, reminded to keep it clean!)

Amelia Earhart: Through great perseverance in a male dominated society, Amelia Earhart become the first female pilot to fly solo across the Atlantic. She wrote numerous books, won many awards, and did much to aid in the advancement of females. On a dangerous flight in which she planned to circumvent the globe, Amelia Earhart went missing, never to be found. Though there are many theories as to the whereabouts of her plane and the reasons for the crash, the search continues to this day.

King Tut: By modern standards the most famous Egyptian Pharaoh, King Tut's tomb was found completely intact in the early 1900's. While most of these tombs had already been looted by thieves, Tut's tomb contained treasures and cultural artifacts the likes of which the world hadn't seen in centuries. His sarcophagus and burial mask are iconic images that have become synonymous with the days of pyramids and Egyptian glory.

General Patton: Often considered on of the best generals of WWII, George S. Patton commanded the numerous troops including Calvary and later tank divisions. His quick maneuvers to aid in the Battle of the Bulge are wildly thought of as some of the greatest tactical military relocations in history. Though he was often very outspoken and his actions occasionally caused much controversy, the great amount of respect he earned from his men drove them to believe they were unbeatable while under his command. Being under Patton's command was indeed a good place to be, and If his tanks, guns, and explosives didn't do the trick, he was also an expert swordsman.

Sarah Palin: This Alaskan native gained national attention when she was chosen as the running mate of John McCain in the 2008 presidential election. While having served as the governor of Alaska and held previous offices there, she was not new to politics, but many in the general public doubted she had the necessary experience to be the Vice President. She also gained much media attention due to her stylistic choices and personal quirks. Though she has resigned from the political stage after the republican party failed to win the Presidential election, many still believe she will run again in 2012. Palin also is an avid moose hunter, fisher, and can see Russia from her home.

Winston Churchill: One of the greatest leaders of this age, Churchill led the British Empire during their darkest hours. His many famous speeches inspired the Allied troops and his nation during the second world war. His steadfast determination to never give up helped give the world the hope many needed. Churchill was great friends with FDR, a metaphoric comparison to the relationship between the US and Britain, was a very important factor in the great amount of cooperation given from both countries in order to succeed in victory. His death was attended by more politicians and statesman than ever before, as well as many thousands of grateful citizens.

George W Bush
: As the 43rd president of the United States George W Bush faced the 9/11 attacks and the ongoing War on Terrorism that has plagued America for years. The swift invasion of Afghanistan and the handling of the attacks helped secure him a second term as president.
